Talent shouldn't need a referral
Most crews get booked through referrals, and most applications sent through job sites never get a reply. That leaves a lot of skilled people, with real experience, stuck outside an industry that mostly hires the people it already knows.
Here it's merit-based. Every sign-up is looked at for the skills you actually have, not who you know, and when a job calls for your skills, I reach out.
If you're booked, you're paid at least the union minimum for your position, union card or not. Joining puts you on the roster; it isn't a promise of work.
